A few years ago I learned that I really enjoy growing food. I then discovered that rabbit droppings are the best organic fertilizer you can use. so I finally had a reason to get a bunny.
I was working at a local shelter at the time and we had some bunnies come in that needed a home. I did a LOT of research and after the bunnies were spayed and neutered, I came home with a pair.
I now have five pet rabbits and they have their own bedroom inside my home. They are "working pets" as they provide all the fertilizer I need to grow my fruits and veggies.
BUT as time went by it became routine to go in, clean the cages and feed them and give them treats throughout the day, then give them their final treat just before lights out each night.
As I started slowing down and paying more attention, I also started taking more time with each of them. Giving extra pets and learning what each of their favorite treats are. I began to recognize the beauty and individual personalities of each of my bunny babies. They are all so adorable, each with a unique look and personality.
It is so much fun to watch them and listen to them crunch on their favorite treats but one of my favorite parts of my little buns is watching their little bunny noses do their little dance.
It's truly one of the special little things that I'm totally lovin'!
